Dear wanderer,
This Saturday, the 21st of September, I’m taking part in Independent Author Book Fair in London, UK.
The event will take place from 10am to 3pm at Dagenham Library, 1 Church Elm Lane, Dagenham, RM10 9QS (map link). You can read more about the event here (Eventbrite). Together with my lady, we’re going to have a table and sell hardcover and softcover copies of my newest book, Deleted Scenes from the Bestselling Utopian Novel (the book’s page on my website).
"Deleted Scenes" is a surreal dystopian narrative set in the remote northern island of Novo Tsarstvo, the twisted mirror of contemporary Russia. Through a mosaic of perspectives, the author explores the lives of ordinary people struggling under a totalitarian regime. The novel combines psychological horror with dark absurd humour to examine themes of truth, violence, freedom, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of oppression.
If you’re in London, it’s your chance to say “hi”, purchase a copy at a discounted price vs. retail, get it signed, and grab some free book-themed bookmarks.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing and even more so no idea how many copies we’re going to sell but I’m sure it promises to be a fun and valuable experience. I reckon nothing can make the book more real than selling it to readers face-to-face. So, if you are around, if you have a chance, please pop in, let’s make it REAL!
This is what awaits you:
If you’re not in London but want to buy a book, among many, there are a few popular ways to do it: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Waterstones.
If you prefer to read digital, ebooks on Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, etc. have become available (in addition to Gumroad previously).
You can also buy a physical copy of the book directly from me, whether you want it signed or not. Just message me at vanya [at] nova-nevedoma [dot] com or leave a message on Substack. But keep in mind that given I’m based in the UK, the international delivery might be a bit more expensive this way.
Wherever you buy it, don’t forget to rate and review it there, PLEASE! Plus, if you can, on Goodreads.
In the upcoming months, I’ll be talking more about this book, perhaps write a couple adjacent essays, exploring relevant themes in non-fiction format, or talk about the process and some artistic decisions. If you’re curious what it’s gonna be like, here are three previous examples:
Until soonish,
Beams of appreciation,
Vanya
Nice, Vanya! It's great to experiment and get out there to meet potential readers. I'm sure it will be a fantastic experience. I'm finding meeting people face to face and talking about the book is a better sales technique than any online marketing. Cheers to many sales! 🍻
Congratulations-and the book is in my wishlist on Amazon
