I am left in awe at your amazing use of language. I was gripped right from the start (though I would admit the first part was a bit confusing, but it might probably be cleared up with a second reading). This is so well done.
I'm reading Vanya's book- lately I'm reduced to reading books in some strange strategical ways- some are for reading while sitting, some are for reading in bed, some are for day, some are for night...whatever, just explaining why it takes longer than when I didn't have to account for al that and just read with cosmic speed- ok, getting back to me reading Vany's book- it's like you say...every time I pick it up it's completely gripping.
"there is only the vision and its betrayal, defection to the enemy’s side." - both sacred & frightening. Really, what an ambitious bit of singular fiction. Chapeau.
Awe at amazing use of language, yes. Gripping. Just genius. I've been on hold waiting for a health insurance agent to take my call the whole time it took me to read this story, and still on hold. Somehow this story fits my situation. I'm only on the tip of the iceberg or sarcophagus of enlightenment on that meaning. Thanks for this, Vanya. It eases my angst with my own circumstance -- if that makes any sense.
speechless tbh (except “speechless tbh [except ‘speechless tbh’]”) etc.
